On May 14, 2025, the Department of Philology and Translation held a regular meeting of the scientific club “Vocational Education”. This time, the session was dedicated to a highly relevant topic – “Work-Integrated Learning in Higher Education”.

Associate Professor Kseniia Kugai, the head of the club, opened the meeting and emphasized to the participants the importance of integrating theoretical knowledge with practical experience in the training of modern specialists.

The students discussed the benefits of work-integrated learning, particularly professional skills development, adaptation to real working environments, and increased student motivation. Various models of implementing work-integrated learning in the educational process were explored, such as internships, dual education, and practice-oriented projects. The students shared their experiences of participating in internship programs. They highlighted how these helped them better understand the specifics of their future profession.

The participants concluded that work-integrated learning contributes to shaping a competitive graduate capable of acting effectively in today’s professional landscape. The meeting took place in an atmosphere of active idea exchange and experience sharing.
