MEETING OF THE STUDENT SCIENTIFIC CLUB “COLOURING OF POLYMER AND FIBROUS MATERIALS” 2024/2025 ACADEMIC YEAR

This academic year has been extremely fruitful for the student scientific club “Coloring of Polymeric and Fibrous Materials”. Throughout the 2024/2025 academic year, group members actively engaged in current research tasks related to the finishing of fibrous materials, significantly expanding their theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

Students had a unique opportunity to deepen their understanding of the characteristics of coloring polymeric and fibrous materials using various classes of dyes. They explored innovative approaches to dyeing polymers and fibers, including eco-friendly technologies and the use of natural dyes. In addition, they discussed the significance and role of color in human life and everyday experiences.

The participants of the club conducted experiments to determine the light resistance, heat resistance, and other performance characteristics of various dyes used in industry. They also studied methods of color synthesis in the dyeing of polymeric and fibrous materials and explored the properties of color patterns applied to polymeric and fibrous substrates using modern equipment.

The most active members of the club had the opportunity to present their research achievements at international conferences and competitions, where they received high praise from experts. Notably, Maksym Polushkin, a student of Group BChT-23, was awarded a third-degree diploma at the II International Competition of Research Papers for Higher Education Students in the field of “Fashion Industry” for his work titled “Dyeing of Textile Materials Pre-Modified with Metal Nanoparticles Using Plant Dye Extracts”.

The work of the student scientific club “Coloring of Polymeric and Fibrous Materials” has contributed not only to deepening students’ theoretical knowledge but also to developing their analytical skills, teamwork abilities, and capacity to solve complex research problems. The members of the club look forward to future meetings, which will take place during the upcoming 2025/2026 academic year.
