On May 30, 2025, the final meeting of the student scientific club Discussion was held, operating within the framework of the Educational and Professional Рrogram "Political Science and Public Communications", specialty 052 "Political Science"( C2 "Political Science").
Throughout the 2024–2025 academic year, the club members explored key issues of political science – from modern political ideologies and forms of government to strategies of political communication and the influence of mass media on the formation of public opinion.
The focus of the working meetings was on helping program participants acquire practical skills: analyzing political messages in the media, modeling election campaigns, and engaging in civic activity and interaction.
As a result of the club’s work, students expressed a desire to expand their professional competencies and deepen their knowledge of the applied aspects of political communication, public opinion, political behavior, and intercultural dialogue in the public sphere.
The focus, in particular, is on expanding the ability to conduct strategic planning of public campaigns, analyze voter behavior, interpret social and political sentiments, forecast public reactions, and act effectively in situations of political conflict and sociocultural diversity. These areas are essential in preparing a modern specialist capable of operating in a constantly changing political, informational, and social environment.
"We felt the need to systematize the knowledge we gained through practice – with a focus on applied communication and analytical tools," noted one of the club participants.
The results of the club’s activities will be taken into account during the update of the Educational and Professional Program "Political Science and Public Communications" under specialty 052 "Political Science" (C2 "Political Science").
