Тopic: ACTUAL TRENDS OF DESIGN
Work plan:
1. Presentations.
2. Discussion.
On March 10, 2025, senior lecturer N.V. Liubymova held a club meeting with group BDm3-23 on the topic “ACTUAL TRENDS OF DESIGN.” After the presentation, a discussion on the given topic was organized, and students asked questions to the speakers. They came to the conclusion that graphic design, like any art or technology, is constantly evolving. Constantly changing trends reflect the cultural and social context of our time, such as technological progress, changes in content consumption patterns, and digitization, which encourage designers to create more interactive, mobile, and adaptive solutions.
Speakers: Vovnenko A. (BDM3-23), Stepanenko D. (BDM3-23)
SESSION No. 2

Тopic: DESIGN AND VISUAL CREATIVITY
Work plan:
1. Presentations.
2. Discussion.
At the second meeting, held on April 14, Kira Sizko and Jaden Terletsky spoke. The topic of creativity in design and visual arts was discussed. They concluded that creativity in design and visual arts is vision and voice. Whether you are painting, creating a program, or branding a product, your creativity shapes how others see, feel, and think. It is a conversation between ideas and the world. Creativity here is more than just creating a beautiful look — it is thinking differently, seeing connections that others may miss, and expressing abstract ideas in a visual form. It combines conceptual thinking, emotional expression, and aesthetic judgment.
Speakers: Cizko K., Terletsky Jaden (BDm3-23).

Тopic: CONTEMPORARY UKRAINIAN GRAPHIC DESIGN EDUCATION
Work plan:
1. Presentations.
2. Discussion.
At the third meeting, which took place on May 17, each student of the BDm3-23 group expressed their opinion and vision of modern Ukrainian education in “Graphic Design.” During the Soviet era, design education in Ukraine was strongly influenced by state ideology, with an emphasis on industrial design and architecture in line with utilitarian principles. Since gaining independence in 1991, Ukraine has seen a gradual shift towards more diverse and globally integrated design disciplines. Many educational institutions now collaborate with international universities, run exchange programs (e.g., Erasmus+), and promote courses taught in English. Students are increasingly familiar with global design trends, tools, and platforms (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Rhino, Blender). During the discussion, it was concluded that contemporary Ukrainian graphic design education is a dynamic and developing field that combines traditional Eastern European artistic foundations with contemporary global design trends. Despite challenges such as political instability and limited resources, Ukraine has cultivated a vibrant, creative design scene supported by institutions, independent initiatives, and an increasingly global digital presence. Speakers: students of the group (BDm3-23).

Тopic: PROMOTION OF AN OWN BRAND. DESIGNER’S INSTRUMENTS IN ADVERTISING
Work plan:
1. Presentations.
2. Discussion.
At the last fourth meeting of the club, which took place on May 30, students' presentations were devoted to the topic of developing their own brand and design tools in advertising.
During the discussion, it was concluded that for a designer, creating and promoting their own brand is both a creative endeavor and a business strategy. Success comes from a balance of aesthetic skills, storytelling power, marketing savvy, and technological expertise. Modern design education increasingly includes these advertising tools as part of professional practice.
Speakers: Kirichenko V., Yanchuk A. (BDm3-23).
