ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE PARTICIPANTS OF THE STUDENT SCIENTIFIC CLUB “PHARMTEKHNOLOG” IN THE 2024–2025 ACADEMIC YEAR

In the 2024–2025 academic year, the activities of the student scientific club “Pharmtekhnolog”, which operates at the Department of Industrial Pharmacy of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design under the scientific guidance of Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Volodymyr BESSARABOV, were very fruitful and productive. The club participants achieved significant success in scientific research and publications, as well as significantly improved their practical skills in working with modern research equipment and mastered new research methods, which contributed to the improvement of their professional competencies.

In the 2024–2025 academic year, the club consisted of ten 3rd–5th year higher education students studying under the educational programs “Industrial Pharmacy” and “European Cosmeceuticals,” as well as postgraduate students of the department.  Throughout the year, all participants actively and diligently worked on research aimed at improving technologies of drug and cosmetic products. In particular, they developed solid dispersed systems to increase the bioavailability of poorly soluble active pharmaceutical ingredients, created systems with prolonged release of active substances, and studied the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anticholinesterase properties of biologically active compounds obtained from biotechnological plant raw materials (https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1G45Dbd5qC/). In addition, as part of the scientific club, students researched the sun protection properties of cosmetics, studied the abrasiveness of toothpastes, and worked on the creation of carbon quantum dots—modern nanomaterials for pharmaceuticals that are characterized by unique optical properties. Based on the results obtained during the work of the student scientific club “Pharmtekhnolog” during the 2024–2025 academic year, under the guidance of scientific supervisor, Dr. of Technical Sciences, Prof. Volodymyr BESSARABOV, they published 7 scientific articles, 3 of which were published in journals indexed in the international scientometric database Scopus, and 4 in professional scientific publications of Ukraine of category B.

The participants of the student scientific club “Pharmtekhnolog” also took part in a number of international and national scientific conferences. The students presented reports at the conference “Modern Chemistry of Medicines” (Kharkiv), participated in the scientific and practical conference with international participation “Scientific and Technical Progress and Optimization of Technological Processes for the Creation of Medicines” (Ternopil), presented the results of their research at the XI International Scientific and Practical Conference “Modern Achievements in Pharmaceutical Technology” (Kharkiv), and also spoke at the VIII International Scientific Conference of Students, Postgraduates, and Young Scientists “Chemical Problems of Today” (Vinnytsia). In addition, club members Anastasiia BEGDAI, Andriy MYKHAILETS, and Vadym LISOVYI took part in the XII Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation of the School of Young Scientists of JSC Farmak “Science, Innovation, and Quality in Modern Pharmaceutical Production” (Kyiv).  The expert commission highly appreciated their scientific works. They especially noted the research work of Vadym LISOVYI, who deservedly became the winner in the nomination “Scientific Novelty” (https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=1743626066403171&set=pcb.1743626299736481&locale=uk_UA).

The results achieved prove that the student scientific club “Pharmtekhnolog” is an effective center for training young researchers who not only successfully combine their studies with scientific work, but also acquire competencies that become a solid foundation for their future careers in the pharmaceutical industry.
