According to the work plan for the 2024-2025 academic year, classes and meetings of the student scientific club “Pharmacon” were regularly held in classroom 1-0223 under the leadership of Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy KNUTD Galyna KUZMINA. The club involves 3rd-5th year students of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy who are interested in studying modern and innovative technologies used in the production of medicines and cosmetic products in more detail.
From September 2024 to June 2025, the participants of student scientific club “Pharmacon” developed soft dosage forms with bioflavonoid compounds and studied their pharmacotechnological parameters, created pharmaceutical compositions with increased solubility of active pharmaceutical ingredients based on solid dispersion systems, and mastered the processes of developing prolonged dosage forms for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, which ensure the stable release of active substances and increase the effectiveness of therapy. In addition, students created cosmetic compositions with photoprotective properties.
Based on the results of the club's work in 2024-2025, two scientific articles were published in professional journals indexed in the Scopus scientometric database (https://doi.org/10.15587/2519-4852.2025.322985, https://doi.org/10.15421/jchemtech.v32i3.305932). In addition, club members presented the results of their research at five international and national scientific conferences with the publication of abstracts.
Also, within the framework of the activities of student scientific club “Pharmacon”, its participants, together with the head of the candidate of chemical sciences, associate professor Galyna KUZMINA, took part in the educational project #Farmak_Lab, which was held on April 29, 2025 at the pharmaceutical enterprise "Farmak". This allowed students to get acquainted with modern pharmaceutical production technologies and successfully apply the acquired knowledge in the research activities of the club.
Summing up the work of the student scientific club "Pharmacon" in the period 2024-2025 academic year, it should be noted the high level of activity and interest of students in scientific activities, which creates a solid foundation for their further research and professional development.
