On December 20, 2024, as part of the work of the research group "Intelligent Information and Control Systems", the head of the research group, professor of the ICT department, O.Y. Nikonov a master class on big data analysis for enhancing the efficiency of information and control systems was held.
The goal of the master class was to provide participants with practical and theoretical knowledge in big data analysis for optimizing information and control systems, as well as to introduce them to advanced approaches in data processing and application in real projects. During the workshop, an overview of modern technologies for working with big data, data collection and cleaning techniques, machine learning methods and algorithms for data analysis, and data visualization tools were presented.
Participants examined methods for integrating the obtained data into information and control systems for their optimization, discussed data flow setup, and report automation. Emphasis was placed on the importance of visualizing analytical results for quick and intuitive interpretation. Students were shown how to create graphs, charts, and dashboards to display key metrics, facilitating analysis and supporting well-informed decision-making in real-time.
Participants had the opportunity to apply their knowledge in practice, working with real data sets and solving tasks demonstrating how big data analysis can improve the efficiency of information and control systems in various settings.
The knowledge gained by students serves as a foundation for exploring more complex machine learning algorithms and artificial intelligence, enabling them to develop intelligent systems for business process automation, production optimization, as well as for building robotic platforms and automated solutions across various industries.
