On August 20, 2025, in the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design held a meeting of the scientific circle «Ukrainian language in professional communication» on the topic «Ukrainian language as a means of forming national consciousness», with the aim of providing practical assistance to students in raising the general level of national consciousness, in particular by overcoming Russian-Ukrainian bilingualism. The leader of the circle is I. Ya. Dzyra, prof. Department of Philology and Translation, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Doctor of Historical Sciences. Students of BIT-1-24 and BA-24 groups took part in the meeting, who, on the basis of the conducted questionnaire, characterized the linguistic manifestations of national consciousness among the student youth of KNUTD. The members of the circle also got acquainted with the general language situation in Ukraine, mutual influence in the «language – state» system, and the peculiarities of the legal status of the state language in Ukraine.

Based on the results of the meeting, a report «Political and legal basis for the functioning of the languages of the indigenous peoples of Ukraine» is being prepared for the XI International Scientific Conference «Dialogue of Cultures in the European Educational Space».
