On September 12, 2025, the Department of Philology and Translation held a meeting of the "School of Young Linguists" student academic club. The meeting was dedicated to the current topic: "The Language of Advertising: Secrets of Influencing Consciousness."
The meeting was opened by the club's supervisor, Associate Professor Maryna Vyshnevska, who emphasized the importance of studying the linguistic mechanisms used in advertising communication and their influence on the consumer.
Students from groups BAM-23 and BIT2-22 actively discussed how linguistic devices, imagery, and symbols form messages that can influence audience decisions and behavior. Special attention was paid to the following aspects:
Students also shared their own observations on effective advertising campaigns and analyzed examples of unsuccessful ones. The participants concluded that the language of advertising is a powerful tool that requires not only a creative approach but also a deep understanding of the psychological and social aspects of communication.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of lively discussion and exchange of ideas. Following the meeting, student Sofiia Ternopilska (group BIT2-22) began preparing a research article on the topic “Linguistic and cognitive aspects of persuasive communication in advertising.”
