On August 15, 2025, the Department of Philology and Translation held a meeting of the "School of Young Linguists" student academic club. The meeting was dedicated to the current topic: "The Language of Artificial Intelligence: How Algorithms Learn to Speak."
The meeting was opened by the club's supervisor, Associate Professor Maryna Vyshnevska, who highlighted the rapid development of artificial intelligence technologies and their impact on language and communication.
Students from group BAM-23 actively discussed the mechanisms by which large language models (LLMs) generate text, analyzed the features of their "language," and explored their potential applications in various fields. Special attention was paid to the following aspects:
Students also shared their own examples of using chatbots and language assistants for learning and creative projects. The participants concluded that artificial intelligence is becoming an integral part of our lives, and understanding its linguistic features is key for future specialists.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of lively discussion and exchange of ideas. Following the meeting, student Ada Yakymova (group BAM-23) began preparing a research article on the topic “The impact of AI on cognitive and linguistic processes.”
