During the 2024-2025 academic year, within the framework of the scientific club of the Department of Smart Economics “SMART Ideas in Management, Economics, and Business”, higher education students published 39 scientific articles and 84 conference abstracts, including 37 abstracts for national conferences and 47 abstracts for international scientific and practical conferences.
Members of the scientific club of the Department of Smart Economics took an active part in the V All-Ukrainian Conference of Higher Education Students and Young Scientists “Innovation in Education, Science and Business: Challenges and Opportunities” (15.11.2024); III All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference of Young Scientists and Students “Dominants of Socio-Economic Development of Ukraine in New Realities” (03.28.2025); VI International Scientific and Practical Internet Conference “Imperatives of Economic Growth in the Context of Implementing the Global Sustainable Development Goals” (29.04.2025); X All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Innovative Trends in Training Specialists in a Multicultural and Multilingual Globalized World” (11.04.2025), as well as X International Conference “Dialogue of Cultures in the European Educational Space” (09.05.2025) of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design and other conferences.
3 startup projects have been prepared: “Smart-Coffee-Day” – Maksym Ilchyshyn (supervisor: Polina Puzyriova); “Autonomous Self-Service Printer at the University” – Tetyana Sinkevych, Denis Taladion (supervisor: Yevheniia Khaustova), “Smart-Cafe” – Kateryna Batiuk, Alina Dmytrenko, Diana Pryharska (supervisor: Polina Puzyriova), which were presented at the V All-Ukrainian Conference “Innovation in Education, Science and Business: Challenges and Opportunities” (15.11.2024), Kyiv.
On October 15, 2024, members of the scientific club joined the educational and practical training “Economic Solutions in the Banking Sector”. The tutors of the training program were Oleksiy Petrivsky, PhD in Economics, Head of the Human Resources Development Department of PUJSC “CB “Akord Bank” and Oleksandra Tsepova, Head of the Department of PUJSC “CB “Akord Bank”.
On October 18, 2024, Anton Kleshchev, the National Coordinator of the UNIDO Project “Global Programme for Eco-Industrial Parks in Ukraine”, delivered a lecture entitled “Eco-Industrial Parks as Drivers of Economic Growth in Ukraine”. Members of the scientific club actively participated in the discussion, asked questions, and received practical recommendations regarding the creation of eco-industrial parks in Ukraine.
On February 14, 2025, a practically oriented lecture was delivered to members of the Scientific Club of the Department of Smart Economics by Dmytro Irnazarov, a stakeholder of the Department and Project Manager at ING Bank Joint Stock Company, on the topic “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on the Development of Digital Skills among Future Economists”.
On February 17, 2025, the Department of Smart Economics held a scientific and practical seminar entitled “Formation of Digital Skills among Students Majoring in Economics”, in which members of the scientific club “SMART Ideas in Management, Economics, and Business” took an active part.
On February 20, 2025, with the aim of involving students in research activities in the digital economy, a practically oriented lecture was delivered by Serhiy Sinitsa, a stakeholder of the Department of Smart Economics and Commercial Director of LLC “Service Solutions Company” The topic of the lecture was “Digital Economy as a Dominant Component in the Professional Development of Students Majoring in Economics”.
On May 21, 2025, members of the scientific club “SMART Ideas in Management, Economics, and Business” of the Department of Smart Economics, the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Modern Technologies, Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, attended a problem-oriented lecture delivered by Professor Oleksandr Kasterin, Senior Advisor on Trade and Environment at the International Trade Centre (Geneva, Switzerland) and Project Manager in sustainable agriculture, market access for small and medium-sized enterprises, and climate resilience enhancement in Asia and Africa. The lecture, entitled “Trade: Useful or Harmful for the Environment – Overproduction, Pollution, and Greenhouse Gas Emissions (Scaling Effect)”, explored the relationship between global trade, environmental impact, and sustainability challenges.
The event also featured a report by Anna Ackermann, Policy Expert on Ukraine’s Green Recovery at the International Institute for Sustainable Development, and an Analyst specializing in environmental and energy issues, climate change mitigation, renewable energy, building energy efficiency, and sustainable reconstruction strategies, on the topic “Sustainable Reconstruction of Ukraine”.
