On September 25, 2025, at the Department of Philology and Translation of the Faculty of Culture and Creative Industries, another meeting of the scientific club “Vocational Training and Foreign Language Communication” was held.
The topic of the meeting was “Digital discourse: navigating professional communication in online learning”.
The head of the club, Associate Professor Kseniia Kugai, opened the session and emphasized the growing importance of digital literacy for modern higher education students and future professionals.
Participants discussed the specifics of professional communication in the online space, in particular the requirements for style, etiquette, and the speed of information exchange.
In their presentations, students highlighted that digital discourse shapes new standards of interaction between students, educators, and employers.
Special attention was paid to the issues of ethical behavior in online communication and the development of critical thinking skills.
Students shared their own experiences of participating in international online courses and projects, where effective command of digital discourse became a key to success.
The role of foreign languages in ensuring intercultural interaction in the digital environment was also considered.
Participants concluded that developing professional online communication skills is an integral part of preparing a modern and competitive specialist.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of active dialogue and exchange of ideas on the challenges and opportunities of digital communication.
