On September 12, 2025, as part of the work of the scientific circle "Scientific developments in the design and manufacturing of fashion industry products" (heads: associate professors of the Department of Fashion Technology Antonina Babych and Tymofiy Lipsky), a seminar was held on the topic "Modern technologies and equipment for the manufacture of fashion industry products".
The heads of the scientific circle, associate professor Antonina Babych and associate professor Tymofiy Lipsky, introduced students to innovations in the industry regarding technological and technical support of fashion industry enterprises.
The theme of the seminar was to acquire theoretical knowledge in the field of design and practical skills in the practical use of technologies for manufacturing products in this segment (shoes, accessories), methods of decorating and finishing materials and finished products of the fashion industry. The issues of using secondary resources for the manufacture of designer products were considered in a theoretical and practical way. The students coped with the task set excellently. Shoe models were developed, patterns were developed, patterns were laid out on the material, technological and economic indicators of the model were calculated. Methods of decorating materials were theoretically studied and implemented in practice, thematic panels were made from genuine leather.
The work in the creative laboratory of the Department of Fashion Technology turned out to be rich, interesting and extremely informative. Students confirmed in practice their excellent knowledge and skills in: developing a design project and its presentation, making sketches and technical drawings of products, working with materials and tools.
The meeting took place in a friendly atmosphere. All participants shared their impressions and experiences gained during the seminar.
We hope that such working meetings will help students in their development as fashion industry specialists and will encourage scientific work, creativity and self-development.
