The Labor and Career Center is a structural subdivision of the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design. The task of the Center is to streamline work on establishing cooperation with employers and promoting the employment of university graduates. The Center was established in 2014 on the basis of the Department of Employment of Students of KNUTD. The center is functionally subordinated to the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Activity (Educational Activity).

Since 2014, the Center for Labor and Careers has been headed by Tetyana Leonidivna IZOVIT, Candidate of Economic Sciences, President-chief of the board of Ukrainian Association of Textile & Leather industry enterprises “UKRLEGPROM”.

In 2019, the Center was headed by Doctor of Technical Sciences Tetiana Igorivna KULIK.

The main task of the Center is to provide thousands of graduates, graduate students and students of the University with a variety of employment assistance, including temporary and seasonal. Employees of the department are engaged in establishing contacts with potential employers to form an array of permanent and temporary vacancies, conducting trainings, presentations, seminars and consultations on career issues, interregional and international cooperation.

The main goal of our activity is to promote the employment of students and graduates of KNUTD and their adaptation to practical activities, increase their competitiveness in the labor market.

Tasks of the Labor and Career Center:

• organization of measures to promote employment;
• research of the modern labor market and its trends;
• informing students and graduates of the university about vacancies in enterprises;
• establishing feedback with employers;
• keeping in touch with University graduates.

To students:

• advising on professional career planning: identifying ways and opportunities for employment, assistance in choosing a professional career development;
• providing advice to students and graduates on how to write your own resume, interview, self-presentation, etc.;
• providing objective information about current professions, demand for specialists in the labor market and the level of wages;
• conducting discussions, lectures, thematic trainings, master classes from leading companies and specialists of Ukraine and the world;
• selection of additional courses in various fields to improve the professional level;
• posting current vacancies on the pages of the Labor and Career Center and on Facebook;
• holding Job Fairs with the involvement of the most prestigious companies in the industry.

To employers:

• possibility to place vacancies of the enterprise on the KNUTD website and in social networks of various structural subdivisions of the University;
• selection of students according to the set parameters to fill the proposed Vacancy;
• opportunity to get acquainted with the resumes of students and graduates of the University of different specialties;
• participation in the annual Job Fair, which gives the opportunity to present their company to a large number of young professionals;
• conducting master classes, lectures, trainings for students of relevant specialties in order to disseminate information about your company and attract promising staff;
• opportunity to involve University students in internships and internships.
