About the Department

Mission of the Department of SMART-ECONOMICS is to train innovative, creative and competitive economists who are able in the digitalization and intellectualization of economic processes to make smart, informed decisions that will ensure the effectiveness of business, corporations, enterprises and organizations in various sectors of the economy. levels.

Deepening cooperation with applicants, the faculty strives to provide:

  • creative and professional self-realization of applicants;
  • achievement of high results by applicants in applied research and fundamental research;
  • raising the level of cultural and national-patriotic education of applicants;
  • formation of the principles of moral and ethical and business communication and business conduct for applicants;

The Department of SMART ECONOMICS is a graduate and provides training in the following specialties: 051 Economics (degree of higher education - "Bachelor", "Master", "Doctor of Philosophy").

1. SPECIALTY 051 ECONOMICS, DEGREE OF HIGHER EDUCATION "BACALAVR"

The purpose of preparing bachelors in the specialty "Economics" is to provide economic education in the field of social and behavioral sciences with broad access to employment and further education. Formation and development of general and professional competencies in the field of Economics involves different opportunities for employment and careers that are aimed at gaining economic knowledge.

Forms of training: full-time, part-time, correspondence-distance.

Term of studies: 4 years - full-time study, 4 years 5 months - correspondence and correspondence-distance education.

2.1. Educational Program International Economics

The purpose of the educational program is the formation and development of students of general and professional competencies in the field of the functioning of international business and commerce, the implementation of research on problems international economic policy and realization of scientific activity in the directions requiring development in the sphere of the world economic management mechanism.

Term of studies: 1,5 years - full-time, part-time and correspondence-distance education.

The graduate is suitable for employment in enterprises, organizations and institutions of any organizational and legal form (industrial and service enterprises, enterprises with foreign investment) and hold primary positions in public authorities at various levels of government, international companies, representative offices of international organizations. The graduate is able to hold the following positions: economist, economist in sales and promotion of goods, economist in foreign economic activity, economist in accounting and business analysis, economist in planning, economist in financial work, economist in economics, economist in contract and claims work, economist in international trade, commodity market research analyst, international analyst, economic consultant, economic adviser, attaché.

 

3. SPECIALTY 051 ECONOMICS, LEVEL OF HIGHER EDUCATION "DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY" 

3.1. Educational program "Economics"

  

 

The purpose of the educational-scientific program "Economics" of the degree of higher education "Doctor of Philosophy" is to train highly qualified, integrated into the world scientific-educational space doctors of philosophy, based on their acquisition of general and professional competencies sufficient to produce new ideas, solve complex research problems. -project activities, mastering the methodology of scientific and pedagogical activities, scientifically sound consulting in the field of economics.

The main focus of the program. The educational-scientific program has scientific-theoretical, research and applied orientation; formed as an optimal combination of academic and professional requirements. Emphasis is placed on the formation and development of general and professional competencies in economics, including light industry, fashion industry, design, higher education, aimed at mastering the methods and techniques of theoretical and practical scientific and pedagogical activities.

Features (uniqueness) of the program. The educational and scientific program is based on innovative project results and modern scientific research in the field of economics, taking into account its specifics. The program provides a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical (including pedagogical) training. The training is conducted in an active research environment, involves the preparation and conduct of interactive, open lectures, seminars and round tables with the invitation of well-known experts and practitioners in economics and related fields, participation in business training, use of case methods and modern educational information and communication technologies with the direct participation of applicants for the third educational and scientific level (Doctor of Philosophy). Applicants have the opportunity to conduct thorough, interdisciplinary research of light industry, fashion and design industry on the economic aspects of their operation, as well as within the internationally recognized scientific school "Development of theoretical and applied foundations of higher education economics, training for business management."

History

The history of the Department of Economics of the company dates from the day the university was founded - 1930. During this period, the Department of Engineering and Economics established the Department: "General Economics and Accounting" (headed by Prof.BO Chorny), "Planning" (Head - Prof. M. Schelonin) and "Labor Economics" (headed by professor AM Gornostay-Podolsky). On the basis of these departments, the department of "Applied Economics and Planning" was organized later (managers in different years - Prof. M. Schelonin and Prof. S. I. Podgaits). Throughout the entire history of the university's operation, the department's work was carried out in accordance with the needs of the country's economy in highly qualified specialists-economists with deep knowledge of the specifics of production and was accompanied by the discovery of new specialties.

In 1940 the Department reorganized and allocated the departments of "Economics and Industrial Planning" (headed by Prof. Y.L Slavsky, later - S. I. Podgaits) and the Departments "Organizations and Planning of Production" (headed by Prof. L. Ye. Lightning).

In 1945, after the return of the Institute for evacuation, the department was again united into the department "Economics, Planning and Organization" (headed by Prof. L.E. Gorelik). From 1947 to 1953, the chair was headed by G.S. Messierzhnikov, and from 1953 to 1987 - N.A. Adamov

In 1965, taking into account the needs of the industry in training graduates with more in-depth knowledge of the specifics of production, the department was divided into two: "Economics, organization and planning of leather, footwear and chemical fibers (headed by professor GP I.Pyryan) and" Economics, organization and planning of sewing and knitting production "(headed by Prof. N. A. Adamov). From 1987 to 2002, the department was headed by M.V. Svischov

In 2002, in connection with the opening of the specialty Accounting and Audit, the department was renamed the Department of Economics, Accounting and Audit (headed by Prof. AP Grechan).

In 2013, the Department of Enterprise Economics (headed by Prof. VV Loiko) was formed as a result of optimization of the structure of the Faculty of Economics and Business.

In 2016, taking into account the world trends and trends in the training of highly qualified personnel in the field of economy and business, expanding the range of specialties and specialization in the preparation of bachelors and masters, the department was renamed to the Department of Business Economics. The chair was headed by Doctor of Economics, professor A.O. Melnyk. The department teaches for all the specialties of the University such disciplines as: "Fundamentals of Economic Theory", "International Economics", "International Economic Relations", "Foreign Economic Activity", "Business Planning" and others.

In 2018, in connection with the expansion of specialization, the department was renamed the Department of Business Economics and Tourism.

In 2020, in connection with the reorganization of the University and expansion of the number of educational programs, the department was renamed the Department of Economics and Services, and in 2021 it was renamed the Department of Smart Economics.

Today, the faculty of the Department of Smart Economics teaches all the economic specialties of the University and such subjects as: "Fundamentals of Economic Theory", "Macroeconomics", "Microeconomics", "International Economics", "International Economic Relations", "Foreign Economic Activity "," Business Planning "and others.

The department has: 6 professors, including 4 doctors of economic sciences; 9 associate professors (all candidates of sciences).

OLESHKO Anna, Head of the Department, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor.

In 2002 she graduated from Kyiv National University of Economics, now - Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman, Kyiv, specialty "Public Service", qualification «Master of Administrative Management».

In 2006 she presented a dissertation for the degree of candidate of economic sciences, specialty – organization of management, planning and regulation of economy on the topic: «Prognostication and State Regulation of Industrial Development of Region (on an example of Kyiv Region)».

In 2013 she presented a dissertation for the degree of doctor of economic sciences, specialty – economics and management of the national economy on the topic: «Anti-crisis regulation of the national economy».

In 2018, she was conferred with the title of Professor.

Teaching subjects: "International Economics", «Microeconomic Development of Business Entities».

Research interests:  state economic policy, economics and management of the national economy, digital economy, economics of business entities.

She is the author of more than 150 scientific works, including 9 monographs and 7 international publications, which are included in international rating databases.

  

OLSHANSKA Alexandra, Dean of the Faculty of Management and Business Design, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor.

In 1987, she graduated from Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University. Graduated from the postgraduate course at Productive Forces Research Council of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and in 2002 presented  a dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences.

From 2008 to 2016 she headed the Department of Regional Studies and Tourism at Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University.

In 2014 she presented a dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences. In 2015 she was conferred the academic title of Professor.

In 2016 she was elected to the position of Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design.

She was awarded with an honorary diploma of the Supreme Council of Ukraine "For Services to the Ukrainian People", the Honorary Diploma of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Gratitude of the Kyiv Mayor, badge "Excellent Education".

Professor O.V. Olshanskaya is the Deputy Chairman of the Specialized Academic Council D 26.102.05 and a member of the Specialized Academic Council D. 26.006.08.

She is a member of editorial boards of leading professional scientific publications: "Bulletin of the KNUTD" (Series "Economic Sciences"); "Economy and entrepreneurship"; "Economy and the state".

Professor O.V. Olshanskaya is a scientific leader and consultant in the preparation of candidate and doctoral dissertations of applicants, postgraduate students and doctoral students of the department.

Teaching subjects:  "Geography of Tourism", "Tourism Organization".

Research interests:  conceptual approaches to the formation and functioning of national and regional socio-economic systems, sustainable development of the economy; problems of modernization of higher education and implementation of educational innovations.

She is the author of more than 100 scientific and educational-methodical publications, which reflect the range of its research interests, which creatively combine scientific achievements with the teaching practice of higher education.

  

DENYSENKO Mykola, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the International Academy of Investments and Construction, Academician of Construction Academy of Ukraine, Technological Academy of Ukraine.

In 1972 he graduated from Odessa Civil Engineering Institute.

In 1981 he presented a dissertation for a degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences.

In 2002 he presented a dissertation for a degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences on the topic «Scientific and Methodological Bases of the Investments Activation», speciality 08.00.03 – «Economy and Management of a National Economy».

Awards: Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine Certificate of honors and breastplates «For Scientific Achievements» and «Excellence in Education of Ukraine». The Order of Saint Vladimir of second degree, and third degree, The Order of Saint Nicholas Thaumaturge, The Order of Michael the Archangel, The Medal «Veteran of Labour».

Teaching subjects: «Economics and innovation organization», «Innovative enterprise development», «Investment activity of enterprise», «Providing of innovations», «Methodology for modern scientific research».

Research interests: investigation of the problems of investment-innovative activityreformation of economics and its branchesintroduction of new technologies to increase production efficiencypractical and methodical problems at all stages of investment process.

Author of over 450 scientific publications, including 40 monographs, textbooks labelled with MES of Ukraine.

  

BUGAS Valeriy, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Professor.

In 1971 he graduated from Kyiv State Taras Shevchenko University. Specialty: economist-internationalist, teacher of political economy. In May 1974 he presented a dissertation for a degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences on the topic: "The analysis of the theories of post-industrialism". He headed the Department of Economic Theory and Finance from 2001 to 2003 and the Department of Political Economy from 2004 to 2008.

He has prepared two candidates of economic sciences: Kadri Satar Habib (1991), Kovalenko D.I. (2004).

He was awarded with the honorary badge «Excellence in Education of Ukraine» for the fruitful scientific and pedagogical activity on the training of highly skilled specialists and scientists (2005).

Research interests: modern economic thought of the USA; studying the experience of market mechanisms in the economies of developed countries.

VORONKOVA Tayisiya, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Professor.

In 1970 she graduated from Kyiv National Economy Institute named after D.S. Korotchenko, specialty «Production Planning».

In 1986 she presented a dissertation for a degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences on the topic:  «Development, Formation and Application of Socio-Cultural Fund Measures and Building Construction».

  • 1994 – Washington Academy of Education development (certificate – business advisory)
  • 2009, 2014 – Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, Institute of post-graduate training – advance training for teachers (distance teaching).

KHMELEVSKA Liubov, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Professor, Director of the Professional College of Arts and Design KNUTD.

In 2002 she presented a dissertation for a degree of Candidate of Sciences on the topic "The peculiarities of small business development in the field of consumer services" and received a diploma of Candidate of Economic Sciences in specialty 08.01.01 "Economic Theory".

Research interest: development of small business in the field of consumer services of the population of Ukraine.

The author of more than 30 scientific publications.

 

HAUSTOVA Yevheniya, Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor.

In 1995 she graduated from the State Academy of Light Industry with a degree in Business Economics and qualified as an engineer-economist.

In 2003 she defended her dissertation on 08.00.04 - Economics and Enterprise Management (by type of economic activity) at the Institute of Industrial Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and received the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences.

In 2006 she received the academic title of Associate Professor of Economics, Accounting and Auditing.

In 2006-2008 she was a scholarship holder of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

In 2019 she defended her doctoral dissertation in the specialty 08.00.04 - Economics and Business Administration (by type of economic activity) at KNUTD and received a doctorate in economics.

Teaches subjects:  "Enterprise costs", "Economic efficiency of enterprises".

Research interests: knowledge economy, foreign economic and innovative activity of enterprises, intellectual business.

The author of more than 90 scientific papers and methodological publications, including 10 monographs, including one individual monograph, and 2 co-authored textbooks.

  

VLASIUK Tetiana, Candidate of Sciences (Economics), associate professor of the department.

In 1999, she graduated from the State Academy of Light Industry of Ukraine with a Degree in Company Economics.

In 2006, she presented a dissertation for a degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences on the topic “Investment Attraction Appraisal of Light Industry Enterprises (Territorial and Industry-specific Approach)”.

In 2011 she was awarded by Pechersk District Authorities of Kyiv for her significant contribution to the socioeconomic and cultural development of the district.

Teaches subjects:  «Analysis of economic activity».

Research interests: diagnostics of higher institutions economic safety in Ukraine.

The author of more than 150 scientific papers and methodological study aids, a co-author of 7 monographs, 3 textbooks approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (“Theory of Economic Analysis”, “Treasury of Banks”), one patent and one certificate of authorship.

  

LISCHUK Victoria, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of the department.

In 2012, she graduated from Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University with a degree in International Economics and received the qualification of Master of Economics.

In 2017 she presented a dissertation for a degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences on the topic "Organizational and Economic Mechanism of Engagement of Foreign Capital in the Economy of Ukraine" and received a Candidate's Degree in Economics, the specialty "Economics and Management of the National Economy".

Teaching subjects: "Global Economy", "International Economics".

Research interests: International economy, investments.

The author and co-author of scientific and educational-methodical publications: 1 monograph, 1 textbook, published more than 25 scientific works.

 

PALCHUK Elena, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor.

In 2003 graduated with honors from the Institute of International Relations of Kyiv National University. T. Shevchenko in the specialty "International Economic Relations".

In 2011 she presented a dissertation at the Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine on the topic "Factoring in the global financial services market in the conditions of economic globalization".

Teaching subjects:  "International Economics", "Economic Theory", "Foreign Economic Activity of Enterprises".

Research interests: the influence of innovative and information technologies on the economy, the role of the state in the economy of the 21st century, intangible assets and their assessment.

SHATSKA Zoryana, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor.

In 1995 she graduated from Ukraine Transport University, speciality «Construction of Highways and Airfields».

In 2010 she presented a dissertation on the topic «Adaptive Mechanism of Enterprise Strategy Implementation».

Teaching subjects: "Enterprise Economy", "Economic Security and Enterprise Risks", "International Enterprise Competitiveness", "Project Analysis", "Regulation and Promotion of Enterprise Activities".

Research interests: enterprise economics, strategic and innovative management.

BEBKO Svitlana, Candidate of Economic Sciences.

In 2011 she graduated from Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University, specialty “Translation (English, German)”. Obtained the second higher education, specialty “The Economics of Enterprise”. In 2014 she presented a dissertation on the topic “The peculiarities of regulating the market of education services under modern social and economic transformations” at KNUTD.

Teaching subjects: “International Economic Relations”,”The Economics of Enterprise”.

Research interests: the economics of higher education.

Author of more than 20 scientific articles in professional Ukrainian and international journals, the participant of Ukrainian and international conferences.

 

PUZYRIOVA Polina, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor.

In 2003 she graduated from Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University, specialty “The Economics.

of Enterprise”, qualification - Master of Economics. In 2009 she presented a dissertation on the topic “Management of financial potential of an enterprise” and was conferred.

In 2011 she was conferred an academic title of associate professor of Economics Department.

ZARITSKA Nadiya, Candidate of Economic Sciences.

In 2006 she graduated from Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, a degree in Shoes, Leather Goods and Tinsmith Products. In 2008 she received her second higher education in "Business Economics".

In 2010 for significant personal achievements in the field of education, for many years of conscientious work, personal contribution to the training of highly qualified personnel and scientific and pedagogical activities she was awarded the KNUTD Diploma, in 2011 for significant personal achievements in education, conscientious work and on the occasion of the International Women's Day. on March 8 she was awarded the KNUTD Diploma.

In 2020 she presented a dissertation on the topic "Strategic Management of Light Industry of Ukraine" in the specialty 08.00.03 - Economics and Management of the National Economy.

BUDYAKOVA Olena, Ph.D., Associate Professor.

In 2006, she graduated from Donetsk State Academy of Management, specialty - Management of Organizations, and received a qualification of Economist.

In 2011, she presented a dissertation at the Institute of Economic and Legal Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine on the topic "Ensuring Professional Qualification Balance of the Regional Labor Market", the specialty 08.00.07 - Demography, Labor Economics, Social Economy and Politics.
