ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

In 2021, the Department of Performing Arts was founded at KNUTD, the purpose of which was to train professional actors of dramatic theater and cinema with the basics of production in accordance with the best national traditions and international standards. Initially, the department was part of the Institute of Internationalization of Higher Education and Science, and later became part of the newly created Faculty of Cultural and Creative Industries. The department was headed by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, associate professor, theater director and teacher Anfisa Kolenko. In 2022, the department was renamed to the department of performing arts and culture, which gave an impetus to active participation in the cultural and creative life of the university.

From April 2024, the Faculty of Cultural and Creative Industries was reorganized into the Educational and Scientific Institute of Culture and Creative Industries (NNIKKI), which included the Department of Performing Arts and Culture. From July 1, 2024, the department was headed by Associate Professor, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Vira Burnazova. In September 2024, the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Studies of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Culture and Creative Industries was reorganized by joining the Department of Performing Arts and Culture, which made it possible to expand the training of students of higher education in the specialty 034 Cultural Studies".

The Department of Performing Arts and Culture is a graduation department and prepares applicants for higher education in the following specialties:

026 " Performing Arts" (level of higher education - "Bachelor")

034 "Cultural Studies" (level of higher education - "Bachelor", "Doctor of Philosophy").

The purpose of the educational program: there is the training of highly qualified actors of theater and cinema and managers of theater groups who possess general, professional competences and program learning outcomes and are able to implement them in various types of professional activities: performing, staging, administrative-managerial, scenario-dramaturgical, analytical-critical, pedagogical, popularization, etc.

The main tasks of the program are: training specialists capable of solving complex specialized tasks in the field of performing arts, providing the opportunity for further education, successful employment and achieving competitiveness on the labor market in the field of culture and art.

Employment prospects: in professional drama theaters, participation in filming and production.

 

Specialty 034 "Cultural Studies"

Educational and professional program "Visual art and management of cultural projects"

The purpose of the educational program: training of specialists, capable of solving complex specialized tasks and solving practical problems in the field of professional activities of a culturologist, which involves the application of theories and methods of cultural studies under the condition of a comprehensive perception of traditional and innovative forms of visual art in view of its genesis, main aesthetic ideas, ideological principles, styles and personalities in the actual art space, capable of organizing and developing cultural industries and management of cultural projects, excursion and museum-gallery activities, creative entrepreneurship in the field of culture, the main purpose of which is the production, promotion and commercialization of works, services and activities of a cultural and artistic direction or such, which is related to the cultural and historical heritage of mankind.

The main tasks of the program are: formation of a high level of professional training of specialists who possess modern theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for solving complex socio-cultural tasks and practical problems, formation of a student's scientific vision and a broad worldview in the social, humanitarian and professional spheres.

Employment prospects: at enterprises, organizations and institutions operating in the field of culture, namely: research, educational, art institutions, cultural and creative industries, event agencies, state authorities, mass media.

 

Specialty 034 "Cultural Studies"

The purpose of the educational program: training of specialists of the third level of higher education, capable of solving complex problems in the field of professional and research-innovative activities in the field of cultural studies, which involves a deep rethinking of existing and the creation of new holistic knowledge and professional practice, as well as implementing and ensuring intercultural professional interaction of representatives of the scientific community, aimed at the integration of university education into the European educational and scientific space.

Employment prospects for graduates: in organizations, institutions, enterprises and institutions operating in the field of culture. Graduates can successfully work in art galleries, museums, event agencies, Ukrainian and international cultural funds as analysts and experts. Also, they can work as art journalists, highly qualified commentators in the field of culture, as well as specialists who provide cultural activities and events aimed at entertainment and recreation of the public. In addition, their knowledge can be applied in education and scientific activities, as well as in cultural management and restoration of cultural values.

SCIENTIFIC AND PEDAGOGICAL STAFF OF THE DEPARTMENT

The scientific and pedagogical team of the department has great creative plans and ambitions and strives to create the best conditions for the professional and creative development of students of higher education majors 026 "Performing Arts" and 034 "Cultural Studies". The department plays an exceptional role in the formation of modern specialists and socially responsible citizens with a high level of general culture, a spiritually rich outlook, a developed political and legal consciousness, who recognize and appreciate the rule of law, democratic values and freedoms, understand the plurality of the modern multicultural world, think critically and systematically. The formation of these competencies takes place during educational, educational and educational work by the scientific and pedagogical team of the department.

The training of future specialists in the field of theater and cinema is carried out by highly qualified scientific and pedagogical workers of the department, including: people's and honored artists of Ukraine, associate professors, candidates of art history and pedagogical sciences, senior teachers and lecturers. Also involved in the educational process are practicing teachers - leading actors, producers, casting directors, directors of Ukraine, who during training share their professional experience by conducting professional trainings, master classes, practical and lecture classes. Having studied the labor market and realizing the importance for modern students to acquire practical knowledge and skills, the department introduces dual education into the educational process, which combines university studies with professional practical experience at workplaces in the theater, cinema and other institutions of the cultural and creative industry. In order to obtain professional competences, students have permanent stage practice on the stage areas of KNUTD, which are equipped with professional light, sound and stage machinery.

The training of future specialists in the field of visual art and culture is carried out by highly qualified scientific and pedagogical staff of the department, including: associate professors, candidates of cultural studies, historical, sociological, and philosophical sciences. Scientists, art managers , and public figures who share their professional experience during training through practical master classes, lectures, and seminars are also invited to teach . In addition to studying at the university, students get practical work experience in the cultural and artistic sector, management of cultural projects , galleries and museums of KNUTD.

The orientation of the Department of Performing Arts and Culture to the modern market of cultural and creative industries contributed to a change in the approach to art education, recognizing the need for students to acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Scientific and pedagogical employees of the department strive not only for professional self-development, but also for further promotion of the results of creative activity on the cultural market in Ukraine and beyond, providing students with opportunities for creative self-expression in self-created performances , cultural and artistic projects , and multi-genre stage productions.

Vira BURNAZOVA, candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor of the department

Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, associate professor, head of the Department of Performing Arts and Culture of KNUTD since July 1, 2024. From 1995 to 2024, she completed her career at Berdyansk State Pedagogical University from concertmaster to associate professor of the department of art disciplines and their teaching methods, head of the department of theory and teaching methods of art disciplines, deputy dean for educational and methodological work, v. at. Dean of the Faculty of Psychological and Pedagogical Education and Arts.

Editor-in-Chief of the publication "Scientific Notes. Series "Psychological and Pedagogical Sciences" of Mykola Gogol Nizhyn State University. Expert on accreditation of educational programs at the National Agency for Quality Assurance of Education, expert of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on conducting scientific and scientific and technical examination of objects of expertise in the field of scientific and scientific and technical activity in scientific directions (order of the Ministry of Education and Science of 12.07.2024 No. 982).

He is successfully engaged in research work. Author of more than 120 scientific works. Constantly participates in all-Ukrainian and international scientific and scientific-practical conferences, summits, etc. She repeatedly acted as an official opponent for the defense of dissertation studies. Author of the one-person monograph "Executive independence of instrumental musicians: content, structure and development methodology", the textbook "History of World Artistic Culture".

Awarded with honorary diplomas of Berdyansk State Pedagogical University (2005, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011), a certificate of the Mayor of Berdyansk (2010), an honorary certificate of the Department of Education and Science of Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administration (2011), thanks from the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine (2015). For selfless work and active public activity aimed at the revival of Ukraine, she was awarded the award "For dedication to the cause" (No. 1462 dated November 3, 2015). Lev SOMOV, People's Artist of Ukraine, Professor of the Department

Education:

People's Artist of Ukraine, famous theater and film actor, founder and artistic director of the independent theater project "Theatrical Exchange". four times and became a laureate of the award in the field of theatrical art "Kyiv Pectoral" (1997, 2004, 2012, 2018), laureate of the art award "Kyiv" in the field of theater art named after Amvrosy Buchma, laureate of the award of Independent Critics of Ukraine "Yorik", laureate of many theater festivals. From 1988 to 1995, he worked at the Kyiv National Academic Theater of Russian Drama named after Lesya Ukrainka. He has been working at the Kyiv Academic Drama and Comedy Theater on the left bank of the Dnieper since 1995. He writes under the pseudonym Lev Khokhlov. The author of the plays "Bitter Romance", "Perfect Charlie", scripts for the TV series "Castle Crack", "The Newcomer". Made a plastic solution and created choreography in 15 performances, among which: "Cuckold" by Fernand Crommelinck (1998), "Dangerous Relationships" by Pierre Chauderlot de Laclos (2007). Famous films and series: "Lesya plus Roma" (2005 - 2006), "SydOrenky-SydorEnky" (2019). Actor of the Kyiv Academic Theater of Drama and Comedy on the left bank of the Dnieper.

Nazip KHAMITOV, doctor of philosophy, professor of the department

Education:

1985 – Graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy of Kyiv State University named after T. G. Shevchenko.

Ukrainian philosopher, writer and psychoanalyst, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, doctor of philosophy, professor. Developed new methods in philosophical anthropology, psychoanalysis, ethics, aesthetics and psychology. President of the International Association of Philosophical Art and honorary member of the Union of Independent Bulgarian Writers. The author of philosophical, scientific and artistic books, researches issues of gender, psychoanalysis, cultural archetypes and existential anthropology.

Scientific achievements:

He is the author of more than 250 scientific and popular science works, including more than 20 individual books written in co-authorship, including four articles in journals included in the international scientometric databases Scopus and Web of Science, which have been repeatedly republished in Ukraine and abroad.

Developing his direction and scientific school, he trained 12 candidates and 2 doctors of science, currently works with doctoral students, post-graduate students and researchers from Ukraine and other countries.

Scientific, scientific-pedagogical and scientific-social activities were recognized by a number of awards and distinctions from universities, scientific and other institutions in Ukraine and abroad. In particular, in 2014 he received the honorary award "George the Victor II degree" - "for his significant contribution to the revival of spirituality and patriotic education of the youth of independent Ukraine", in 2015 he was awarded the P. Orlyk medal - "for scientific achievements (humanities )", in 2017 he was awarded this medal again. In 2021, he was awarded the Thanks of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine "for many years of creative work, a significant personal contribution to the study of topical problems of philosophical science, active promotion of the formation of the latest philosophical worldview." In 2023, he received the award of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine "For professional achievements", the thanks of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine "for the creation of a resonant scientific direction and the development of a scientific school of philosophical anthropology as metaanthropology, which has international recognition, fruitful popular scientific activity, preparation of scientific change, significant personal contribution in the development of education and science"

Oleksandr VASYLENKO, People's Artist of Ukraine, Professor of the Department

Education:

1982 – Pyotr Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine.

Soloist-vocalist, People’s Artist of Ukraine, since 1987 – a soloist of the Philharmonic Orchestra, since 1993 – a lead singer of the State Wind Orchestra, since 1994 – a soloist-vocalist of the National Ensemble of Soloists “Kyiv Camerata”. A regular guest of the All-Ukrainian Festival of Ukrainian Song “Song Vernissage”, a frequent winner of the “Hit of the Year” festival and the “Song of the Year” radio festival. From 2003 to 2012, the head of the jury of the international competition-festival of children’s and youth creativity “Zoryanyi Simeiz”, a member of the jury of the All-Ukrainian Music Olympiad “Voice of Ukraine”. In 1999, at the International Festival “World of Music” (Italy), he was awarded the title “Owner of a voice of unique beauty”. In 2000, at the same festival, he won the Grand Prix and once again confirmed his title “Owner of a voice of unique beauty”. Laureate of Dmytro Lutsenko International Literary and Art Award “Autumn Gold” (2002). Laureate of the Hryhorii Skovoroda International Literary and Art Award (2014). The singer’s repertoire includes works by classical composers, modern vocal music, hits of the past years, and songs of the world’s nations in the original languages; he performs with symphonic, folk, wind orchestras, and pop groups. He tours a lot in Bulgaria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Yugoslavia, Israel, Spain, Italy, France, North Korea, and the USA.

Mykola MIKHEEV, People's Artist of Ukraine, Associate Professor of the department

Education:

  • 1983 - Kyiv State Choreographic School.
  • 1998 - Kyiv State Institute of Theater Arts named after I. K. Karpenko-Kary.

People's Artist of Ukraine, name M. Mikheev included in the Encyclopedia of Modern Ukraine, ballet dancer, choreographer-tutor from the ballet class of the National Opera of Ukraine named after T. G. Shevchenko, Kyiv, laureate of the 7th Serzh Lifar International Ballet Competition, received a diploma of the "Kyiv Pectoral" theater award. In the creative work, all the main parts in the ballets of the National Theater of Opera and Ballet: Prince Siegfried, Rothbart, Prince Nutcracker, Mouse King, Gray Wolf, Puss in Boots ("Swan Lake", "Nutcracker", "Sleeping Beauty" by P. Tchaikovsky), Count Vyshenki ("Cippolino" by K. Khachaturian) and others. As part of the creative team, he toured in Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, the USA, Portugal, Latin American countries, Mexico, Japan, and other countries, and gave numerous master classes in ballet schools in Japan.

Lidiya MAKARENKO, Candidate of Art Studies, Associate Professor of the department

Education:

2005 – graduated from the Odessa National Academy of Music named after A.V. Nezhdanova (specialty "composition"), class of teacher Yu. O. Gomelska, received the qualification of "Bachelor of Arts, Teacher".

2009 – completed master's studies at V. Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, majoring in "Music pedagogy and education", received qualifications as a music teacher, teacher of theoretical disciplines.

2012 - in the specialized Academic Council of the Institute of Art History, Folklore and Ethnology named after M. T. Rylsky of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine defended her candidate's thesis on the topic: "Transformation of folklore in the orchestral work of L. M. Kolodub" on the specialty 17.00.03 - "Musical Art"

Musicologist, composer, scientist, teacher, public figure, candidate of art history.

She is the author of about 40 scientific works, including a study guide for higher educational institutions "Folklore foundations of Lev Kolodub's orchestral work". In 2024, a collection of author's vocal works for voice and piano with lyrics by L. Kostenko, O. Olesya, I. Franko and others was published.

From October 2019 to today, she is an expert on accreditation of educational programs of the National Agency for Quality Assurance of Higher Education. Member of the expert council "Audio Art" at the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation. In 2016, she participated in the recording of the project "#Slukhaty" on the UA: First channel, where she performed her own composition for the piano "Meeting Spring". Since 2018, she has been an expert in a number of television projects , including: "Night at the Museum" and "PRO et CONTRA" on the UA/TV channel; "Secret Front" on the TV channel "ICTV" and others. Expert of the course "Art" (8th grade) in the project "All-Ukrainian online school" (Ukrainian Institute for the Development of Education and "Osvitoria"). Coordinator of the educational department of the All-Ukrainian trade union organization "Labor Solidarity".

Honors and thanks: Order of Saint Rivno-Apostolic Prince Volodymyr the Great III degree (UPC-KP) for contribution to the development of Ukrainian Orthodoxy ( 2019); Thank you for the significant contribution to the development of culture and art, high professional skill from T.V. at. Vladyslav BERKOVSKY, candidate of historical sciences, doktor nauk humanistycznych, associate professor of the department

Education:

Graduated from the Ostroh Academy National University, majoring in history (2000), the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine, majoring in social development management (2012), the National Academy of Managers of Culture and Arts, majoring in management of socio-cultural activities (2023). In 2006, he defended his doctoral thesis in the field of modern humanities at the Instytucie Historii Uniwersytetu Marii Curie-Skodowskiej in Lublinie (Poland).

From 2001 to 2005, a graduate student at the Instytut Historii Uniwersytetu Marii Curie-Skodowskiej in Lublinie (Poland). From 2005 to 2006, a scholar of the Lane Kirkland Scholarship Program. From September 2006 to December 2009, he worked as the head of the exhibition work sector of the Central State Archive of the Higher Authorities and Administration of Ukraine. From 2010 to September 2015, he was the director of the Central State Archive of Ukrainian Literature Abroad. From September 2015 to June 2021, he was the director of the Central State Film and Photographic Archive of Ukraine named after H. S. Pshenychny. From June 2021 to June 2024 – executive director of the Ukrainian Cultural Fund. Since September 2024, he is an associate professor of the Department of Performing Arts and Culture of KNUTD.

Viacheslav DOVZHENKO, Honored Artist of Ukraine, associate professor of the Department

Education:

  • 2009 – Kyiv National I. K. Karpenko-Kary Theatre, Cinema and Television University, theater department, the Department of Directing.

Honored Artist of Ukraine, famous Ukrainian theater and film actor. Winner of the “Golden Dziga” and “Kinokol” awards for the best male role in the film “Cyborgs”. Received an award at Khmelnytskyi Film Festival for the best acting work in the film “Another Franko”, 2021. Films and TV series “Dilnichny z DVRZ”, “Cyborgs”, “Traveler”, “We are More than I (Married)”, “City of Lovers”, “Living with Wolves”, “Swingers 1 and Swingers 2”, “Native blood”,  “Love under the Microscope”, “Three Days Before Love”, “Wife for Exchange”, “The Other Me”, “Believe Me”, “Fear Your Desires”, “House of the Word”, “Exchange”, and others. Actor of the Kyiv Academic Drama Theater in Podil.

Fedir PRODANYUK , candidate of historical sciences, associate professor

Education:

In 1988, he graduated from the Faculty of History of the Kyiv State University named after T. G. Shevchenko. In 1997, he defended his candidate's thesis on the topic: "Internal Policy of the Ukrainian State (April 29 - December 14, 1918)".

He has been working at the University since 1988, from 2006 to 2012 - in at. Vice-Department of Ukrainian Studies.

Areas of scientific activity: Ukrainian revolution, Ukrainian State of Hetman P. Skoropadskyi.

Teaches disciplines: "Ukrainian and foreign culture", "History of ethnographic regions of Ukraine", "Ukrainian statehood: history and modernity", "Theory of culture" (content module II).

 

Liudmyla ARDELIAN, Honored Artist of Ukraine, associate professor of the Department

Education:

  • 1985 – Kyiv State I. K. Karpenko-Kary Institute of Theater Arts, specialty: theater and film actress, workshop of People’s Artist of Ukraine V. I. Zimnaya.

Honored Artist of Ukraine, famous Ukrainian theater and film actress, actress and dubbing director, and TV presenter. She appeared on TV screens in the following films and TV series: “Real Mystique”, “Doctor Kovalchuk”, “Servant of the People”, “Experts”, “You Can’t Pardon Marriage”, and others. She has been engaged in Ukrainian dubbing for over 20 years. The most famous Hollywood stars and heroines of the series “Roksolana. The Magnificent Century”, “Beverly Hills”, “X-Files”, and “Charmed” speak with her voice on big screens. As a dubbing director, she works on a project for the Netflix streaming service. Winner of the “Teletriumph” award for dubbing the TV series “The Sopranos”.

Ruslana MNOZHYNSKA , Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Associate Professor

Education:

In 1992, she graduated from Kyiv State University named after T. G. Shevchenko. In 2006, she defended her PhD thesis on the topic: "Religious and philosophical views of S. Orikhovsky in the context of religious diversity in Ukraine (1st half of the 16th century)."

He has been working at KNUTD since 2006. Director of the museum of the history of the development of KNUTD.

Areas of scientific activity: history of philosophy, religious studies, ethics and aesthetics.

Teaches disciplines: "Ukrainian and foreign culture", "Philosophy, political science, sociology", "Religious studies", "Ethics and aesthetics".

 

Daryna CHERNYAK, Candidate of Sociological Sciences, Associate Professor

Education:

She graduated from Kyiv National University named after T. G. Shevchenko, Faculty of Sociology and Psychology (2002). In 2006, she defended her candidate's thesis on the specialty "Theory and History of Sociology" and obtained the scientific degree of Candidate of Sociological Sciences. Since July 1, 2011, he has been awarded the academic title of associate professor of the Department of Political Science and Sociology.

From 2005 to 2009, she worked at the Kyiv Economic Institute of Management. From September 2007 to June 2009, she worked part-time at KNUTD as an associate professor of the Department of Political Science and Sociology. From September 2009 to August 2012 - associate professor of the Department of Political Science and Sociology of KNUTD. Valery SHALYGA, Honored Artist of Ukraine, associate professor of the department

Education:

Honored Artist of Ukraine, film director, producer, actor, member of the Union of Cinematographers of Ukraine, member of the expert commission at the State Cinema, laureate of the Mykola Zarudny Award. Since 1985, he has worked in various theaters of Ukraine. 1993. Debut film at O. P. Dovzhenko's film studio "Three cries over Stepan" (workshop - A. Y. Voytetskyi). Since 1999, director-producer. For the play "The House in which God spent the night" at the "Ternopil theater evenings - 2003" festival, he received the prize "For the best direction".

Since 2005, he has completely switched to cinematography. As an actor, he starred in many television and film films.  As a film director, he cooperated with various film studios in Ukraine. The films "I'll Go", "Vacation of a Savage" participated in national and international film festivals. The last film work - the full-length feature film "The Case of the Five" participated in the 15th Odesa International Film Festival in 2024. As an actor, he plays in the Kyiv Theater "Actor".

Kateryna DANNYK, candidate of cultural studies, associate professor of the department

She graduated from the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts in 2015 with a master's degree in tourism. In 2019, after completing postgraduate studies at the same university, she successfully defended her dissertation on the topic "Ethno-cultural aspects of the activity of the Armenian minority in independent Ukraine (based on the materials of national and cultural societies)" and obtained the scientific degree of candidate of cultural studies in the direction of 26.00.01.

Nazar MAYBORODA, associate professor of the department

Education:

Theater and film actor, stuntman, stunt director. He heads the NGO "League of stuntmen". As the artistic director of the stunt course, he released 4 bachelor's courses. He starred in more than 100 films and TV series as a stunt actor, stunt double and stunt director. He is currently a stuntman at the "Adventure and Fantasy" theater. He successfully tours with show programs in Ukraine and abroad. Conducts active concert and theater activities. Larisa MAZUR, teacher of the department

In 2015, she became a co-owner of the Mazur-Event company and acted as the main director of show programs, creating large-scale events and events. From 2016 to 2018, she worked as an actress at the KHAT theater, and also played roles in several Ukrainian TV series as a stunt actress. Currently, she is the host of Kyiv festivals and takes an active part in creating show programs for large-scale international events. Creative laboratories function at the Department of Performing Arts and Culture, in particular "Workshop "Ark", "Workshop "Step", "Workshop " Korifei ", which are important centers for organizing and carrying out educational, creative and methodical work of the department. - conducting public screenings and performances, which gives students the opportunity to demonstrate their achievements and receive constructive feedback from the audience.

The presence of a full-fledged stage space in the creative laboratories, close to the conditions of a professional theater, gives the applicants the opportunity to master the practical skills of a performing arts specialist in the conditions of the educational space of the university.

Behind the scenes, there are several functional rooms that ensure comfort and safety during performances. The costume room is equipped for storing stage costumes and accessories. The dressing room, in particular, has all the necessary means to transform actors into their stage characters.

In addition, there are special areas for sound and lighting equipment. This allows you to quickly set up the equipment for performances and ensures the smooth functioning of all systems during the show.

All premises are equipped in accordance with modern fire safety requirements. There are clearly marked evacuation exits, which guarantees a safe exit for spectators in the event of an emergency. This organization of space ensures efficient work of the entire team and comfortable conditions for artists.

KNUTD History Museum

The museum of the history of the development of the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design is subordinated to the Department of Performing Arts and Culture.

The museum is more than 50 years old. His current task is a multi-narrative approach in interdisciplinary communication of all faculties/institutes and popularization of university achievements.

The exhibition hall of the museum is located in the 1st building of the university, on the 3rd floor.

Director of the museum is Ruslana Mnozhynska , candidate of philosophical sciences, associate professor of the department.

During its existence, the museum became a place to gather information about the university's more than 90-year history, scientific and pedagogical activities, the lives of many who shaped its history and international image. The history of the university, with which their biography is now connected, is presented in photographs, documents, artifacts and books.

For first-year students of all faculties, familiarization tours are held at the beginning of the academic year.

In the context of the request of modern society, in order to promote and distribute the professional achievements of the university's scientists, as well as educational career guidance work among students, the museum conducts "Open Door Days". More than 400 students of Kyiv schools and gymnasiums, students of the College of Arts and Design of KNUTD, as well as foreign students visit them annually.

One of the directions of the educational work of the museum is the organization of exhibitions. These are personal art exhibitions of university teachers' and students' works, as well as faculty-wide exhibitions.

Exhibitions dedicated to the glorious dates of Ukraine, which contribute to the national-patriotic education of students, are held in a new format. The exhibition of a gallery of works dedicated to a certain date or honoring personalities is combined with student dramatizations and musical accompaniment.

The Museum of the History of Development of KNUTD is a kaleidoscope of various exhibitions and strives to communicate with visitors, to be a cultural provider of diverse university content.
