On August 14, 2023, a meeting of first-year students of the "Fashion Design" educational program with teachers of the Department of Art and Fashion Design took place. The event was opened by the Head of the Department, Kalyna Pashkevych, Doctor of Engineering, Professor, who congratulated students on the beginning of their studies at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, told about the history of the Department, its outstanding figures and graduates, and introduced the first-year students to the structure of the University.

The supervisor of the group of first-year students, Iryna Davydenko, familiarized the students present at the meeting with the features of KNUTD’s electronic educational resources: the modular environment of the educational process, the electronic journal, and the schedule of classes. Future fashion designers were informed about the possibilities of realizing their creative potential by participating in creative and scientific competitions, exhibitions, and Olympiads.

The supervisor Iryna Chubotina spoke about the structure of the campus, the student cafe, the stadium, the features and rules of living in a hostel in wartime conditions. The students were informed that the University has created all the necessary conditions for the safety of the educational process and the algorithm of actions in the event of an air alarm has been proven.

At the meeting, the group leaders Elizaveta Poliakova, Viktoriia Penia, and Nataliia Posmitiuha, whose candidacies were supported unanimously, were elected.
