On October 10, 2023, within the patriotic education, was held an excursion to the historical and architectural complex "Kyiv Fortress" for students of the 1st year of the Department of Computer Science, specialization 122 Computer Science and 125 Cyber Security and Information Protection, under the guidance of curators Maryana Kolisko, Anna Korohod, Viktoria Rezanova and Genadiy Melnyk.

The purpose of the excursion was to give students the opportunity to learn more about the history of Ukraine through the example of a historical object, which is the "Kyiv Fortress". Students learned about the events that took place in this territory and its importance in the history of the country. An excursion to a historical object of such importance affects the personal development of students, and also encourages them to deepen their knowledge and self-improvement.

This is the largest military fortress in Europe of the 19th century, which has never been used in military operations. Its purpose was imprisonment. Students and teachers visited the prison cells in which political prisoners, especially dangerous for the regime, were kept, saw the personal belongings of prisoners, guards, and other involved people. We also visited interesting thematic expositions of the museum

The main goal of the excursion was for the students, after its completion, to be better informed about their national heritage, understand the importance of patriotism, and be ready to cherish and protect the values of their country. The excursion can inspire students to further research, patriotic projects, participation in public events and contribute to the development of their social activity.
