The purpose of the activity of the scientific circle: to study the role of positive values and their corresponding personality traits in ensuring that a person achieves subjective, psychological and social well-being. The main tasks: providing an understanding of the psychological prerequisites for a person's subjective, psychological and social well-being; awareness of the content and possibilities of purposeful formation of positive character traits and their role in ensuring the optimal functioning of a person as a subject of activity and communication; mastering techniques aimed at forming positive character traits and maintaining an optimal harmonious lifestyle. Topics of scientific research of the student group: theoretical basis of positive psychology and its representatives; historical prerequisites for the emergence of positive psychology; positive values and "strong" personality traits and approaches to distinguishing them; happiness and psychological well-being; the role of positive emotions in the process of effective functioning of a person as a subject of life activity; optimism, self-esteem and hope; methods of making a positive psychological impact on a person; meaningfulness of life and ways to achieve it; positive psychology in multicultural and social contexts; positive health: physical well-being and longevity; development of leadership qualities using tools of positive psychology.
