The designer creates—and the production manager gets it done! This is the philosophical credo of this year's winner of the TOP-100 ranking of the World's Best Fashion Schools – The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT, USA), according to the magazine CEOWORLD.

Fashion: It’s as intimate as personal style and as global as the vast, multitrillion-dollar garment industry – the motto of the ranking of the World's Best Fashion Schools, conducted by CEOWORLD magazine in early 2021.

In this sense, the synergistic colloboration of the Faculty of Design and the Faculty of Fashion Industry rightly contributed to the achievements of Kyiv National University Technologies and Design of the 60th step in the TOP-100 world-renowned leaders of the fashion industry.

The largest representation among the TOP-100 nominees is occupied by the USA - 30 institutions, Great Britain - 23, Italy - 10. The only representative of the post-Soviet states in the history of the ranking is Ukraine, which is worthily represented by Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design.

Such a confident move to the top of the world elite of the fashion industry revives the former glory of our university - the scientific and educational flagship of light industry of Ukraine, due to the hard work of professional and talented research and teaching staff and comprehensive process, internationalization, which achieved such an impressive result.

Historical steps of KNUTD to the World Tops of the Fashion industry and design!

The survey of the nominees of the TOP-100 ranking of the world's best schools in the fashion and design industry in 2021 was conducted by CEOWORLD magazine - a popular electronic website for corporate executives, business leaders and celebrities. CEOWORLD magazine surveyed 186,350 representatives of the fashion industry, graduates, influential global fashion manufacturers, industry professionals, fashion school scientists, employers and recruiters between November 15, 2020 and February 22, 2021. Ten percent of interviews were conducted by telephone, 82% online, and 8% by mail or face-to-face. All quantitative interviews were conducted on a confidential basis, without relying on the submission of these institutions. The research was conducted by the journal CEOWORLD Research, a global center of excellence for primary research and evidence-based consulting services. To compile the list, information and statistics were collected from publicly available sources based on research and surveys. Survey participants rated the nominees on a scale from 1 "marginal" to 100 "outstanding" or "don't know. The rating is based on seven main indicators of quality and reputation. The total score (100%) is the sum of:

1. Perceived influence of global brands (20%)

2. Answers of recruiters (20%)

3. Feedback from employers (10%)

4. Employment level (10%)

5. The right to join (10%)

6. Specialization (10%)

7. Academic reputation (20%)
