The mission of the faculty is to meet the needs of the population in quality business education regardless of the place of residence/stay; in the training of competitive specialists in the field of management, marketing, finance, entrepreneurship and trade; in active participation in the personal development of each person, their upbringing and improvement of abilities, formation of professional competences.
The goal is to teach and educate young people, develop the potential of participants in the educational process, their creative abilities and an active social position.
Task:
‒ provision of high-quality training of specialists in economics; politology; accounting and taxation; finance, banking, and insurance and the stock market; management; marketing; entrepreneurship and trade, law;
– development of scientific research in the field of social sciences, business, administration and law; technology transfer and innovations into the real sector of the economy;
‒ international integration of scientific and educational activities of the faculty through participation in international educational and scientific projects, competitions, business exhibitions, academic mobility, publishing activity, etc.
The Faculty of Economics and Management of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design prepares highly qualified and competitive specialists on the national and international labor markets who are able to work successfully in a dynamic business environment, generate innovative ideas, create startups, contribute to the digital transformation of Ukrainian business, and quickly adapt to rapid changes in the development of society in conditions of global challenges, competent in solving the most complex problems from various spheres of management and administration, in particular:
- development of a competitive strategy for the innovative development of enterprises based on an understanding of the logic of business development and design;
- application of the basics of anti-crisis management and business management in the practice of management and implementation of smart innovations;
- development of balance sheets and digitization of accounting and financial control activities, provision of business consulting services;
- development and economic substantiation of marketing research, communication design, organization of advertising media events, presentations, promotions;
- practical application of theoretical and experimental research on financial management and investment consulting;
- development of innovative measures of management and commercialization of startup projects using modern tools of design thinking, innovation management and business modeling in the field of entrepreneurship and trade.
Education at the Faculty of Economics and Management is carried out according to modern educational programs that are oriented towards integrated learning and provide for a symbiosis of theoretical and practical training with research work, which allows students to acquire general and professional competencies necessary for solving complex tasks and problems of professional activity. Student-centered, problem-oriented, professional-oriented, communicative, interdisciplinary approaches to learning, learning through educational, business and pre-diploma practice, as well as self-study and research-based learning are used. The system of teaching methods is based on the principles of goal-directedness, binary - active direct participation of the scientific and pedagogical worker and the student of higher education.
The faculty is an active center of scientific and research activity, constantly develops its personnel potential and is the initiator of the creation of platforms for scientific discussions and the development of innovative business projects.

The program is focused on the formation of competencies in the creation, organization and development of entrepreneurial and trade projects. The focus of the program involves the combination of modern knowledge in entrepreneurship, trade, marketing, management in the pharmaceutical business, fashion industry, design and creative industries, brand management, sales organization and commercialization of creative ideas in the national and international markets. Forms the ability to develop one's own business, commercialize entrepreneurial ideas, brand management and make effective management decisions in a dynamic market environment. At the master's level, highly qualified specialists are trained under the educational program "Innovative Entrepreneurship and Startup Project Management". |

Profession of a political scientist is needed in the field of activities of public authorities, local self-government bodies, public, political and self-government organizations, commercial structures, international organizations, and in research institutions. The purpose of the educational program is to train highly qualified competitive political scientists, who are aware of basic knowledge and general and professional competences in the field of political science and public communications, who are able to apply quantitative and qualitative methods of research, technologies and tools for the analysis of the political sphere in the process of planning and conducting communicative events and dialogues between actors and institutions, political subjects of public authorities and the public at the local, national and global level (politics, policy, polity). The main goals of the program are the formation of a conscious political elite, the education of a new generation of young politicians on the basis of national and patriotic values, providing them with the necessary knowledge about ways to realize their leadership qualities in the conditions of modern political life in Ukraine. |
The Faculty of Economics and Management is a center of quality education with more than 90 years of history. The faculty was established in 1930 at the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute of Leather Industry as the "Faculty of Engineering and Economics".
After the Second World War, the teachers of the departments began to train economist engineers for all branches and productions of light industry.
Since 1957, the faculty has started training general engineers in the specialty "Economics, organization and planning of consumer goods enterprises".
In September 2025, the faculty received a new modern name "Faculty of Economics and Management".
Today, the faculty has created all the necessary conditions for the harmonious development of education seekers, the training of highly qualified and competitive specialists in accordance with the requirements of the modern world economy.|

At the Department of Finance, during 2020–2023, a Jean Monnet project was implemented entitled “Role of Financial Consumer Protection in the Financial Stability in the Digital Era: European Approaches”. Project goal: the Europeanization of the institutional, organizational, and procedural architecture of financial consumer protection in the context of digital transformation, which ultimately contributes to Ukraine’s financial integration and stability. This goal was achieved through the integration of European studies into the training of bachelor’s degree students in finance and economics.

The Department of Economics is currently implementing a Jean Monnet project – SEP-210929990 – ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH “Promoting European Skills and Approaches for Sustainable Bioeconomy in the Conditions of Ukrainian Acute Challenges”. The project is led by Polina Puzyrova, Doctor of Economics, Professor. Project goal: to promote the knowledge and experience of the European Union in fostering the development of a sustainable bioeconomy in Ukraine.

In 2022, the project team of the Faculty, together with international partners, won the ERASMUS+ project Call [ERASMUS-EDU-2022-VIRT-EXCH] – Virtual Exchanges in Higher Education and Youth – “International Network of Virtual Youth Business Hubs” with a total funding of €350,000. The project is coordinated by Tetiana Tsalko, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor. The project aims to transfer business knowledge from the EU to young people in the Eastern partner countries through virtual exchange technologies.

The project focuses on youth in general, and particularly on migrants, helping them gain informational and psychological support through an interactive online learning system, develop digital and soft skills for the future, and increase their awareness of EU entrepreneurship and digital transformation policies. Ultimately, this will help bridge the gap between modern labor market demands and educational processes, enhancing young people’s 21st-century skillsets.

One of the key areas of the Faculty’s activity is the organization and hosting of international scientific and practical conferences. These events showcase the research of the Faculty’s academic staff, reflecting the specific features of the current stage of economic development in Ukraine and the world at large — particularly through the analysis of concepts in the economic, managerial, financial, accounting, marketing, and analytical dimensions of its formation and functioning.


The graduates of the faculty are intelligent and talented, proactive and hardworking, have big hearts and love for their Motherland, because in our difficult wartime, the time of Ukraine's struggle for its freedom in the face of Russian aggression, they do not stand aside, but try with all their might to help and bring our Victory closer.
On the initiative of the student self-government and the leadership of the Faculty of Economics and Management, students systematically gather and help volunteers from the movement "Treats for the Armed Forces" in the preparation of ingredients, packing and packing of sets of nuts and dried fruits in dry food for the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Students are the driving force.... No! THIS IS A TSUNAMI OF ENERGY, IDEAS AND CREATIVITY! And when they have an unstoppable desire to help the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and are looking for an opportunity to realize themselves in volunteering, then there is a clear understanding that we are on our way! Because together - we will do a lot!", - this is how volunteers from "Smakolyky dlia ZSU" write about our students.

Student life at the Faculty of Economics and Management is a constant movement forward. Our winners have a unique opportunity to participate in international and all-Ukrainian scientific conferences, competitions and Olympiads, which opens the door to the world scientific community. For excellent achievements, the most talented students receive prestigious scholarships from the President of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada, the Cabinet of Ministers and other state bodies.

The development and improvement of entrepreneurial skills among students of higher education is also due to their systematic participation together with faculty teachers in international projects, in particular the British Council in Ukraine "Creative Spark", the largest European non-profit organization that develops and offers youth educational programs on entrepreneurship and financial literacy and preparation for starting a professional career "Junior Achievement", etc. At the same time, the faculty is a platform for conducting numerous training cycles, business incubators and start-up project competitions not only for students of the faculty and the University in general, but also for the youth of the city of Kyiv within the framework of the signed Memorandum of Cooperation with the Kyiv Youth Center of the Kyiv City State Administration.

STARTUP DAYS at Kyiv National University of Technology and Design
Trainings and master classes from representatives of leading companies and business structures are systematically organized for faculty applicants. Conducting practical classes by employers significantly increases the level of professional competencies of students and contributes to increasing their competitiveness on the labor market. An example can be a series of lectures from the University's partner company "EPAM Systems Ukraine", trainings were conducted by an experienced marketer in the field of IT, Iryna Shevchuk, and the company's project and resource manager Yuriy Pogrebnyak.

Student scientific circles operate at the faculty:
"Development of innovative entrepreneurship in the knowledge economy", "Professional studio for finance and accounting", "M-Team student marketing club", "Creative manager".

Student self-government is active at the faculty.
The main tasks of student self-government are:
- ensuring and protecting the rights and interests of students;
- promotion of scientific, educational and creative activities of students;
- promoting the creation of appropriate conditions for accommodation and recreation of students;
- promoting the activity of student groups, societies and clubs based on interests;
- development and implementation of student business projects;
- organization of cooperation with students of other educational institutions and youth organizations.
The active part of student self-governance takes a direct part in career guidance activities and promotes the encouragement of students to scientific and social activities
