Training in the professional field of "brand product design" takes into account the specifics of the development of promising areas of fashion, the work of modern brands in the fashion industry, show business and media and aims to develop modern innovative areas of design in fashion, art design, stylistics, modeling in the field of clothing, knitwear, accessories and decorations.
During the study, students acquire knowledge in the field of branded product design, such as: compositional and graphic means of expression in the design of branded products; specific graphic methods of presenting a project of branded products, adequate to the creative idea; the main stages of preparation of design projects of branded products for presentation and protection to a wide audience; characteristics of achievements and tendencies of development of modern computer technologies; methods of using different techniques of graphic presentation in accordance with the figurative solution of a given project of branded products in the modern fashion industry, means of finding new techniques of graphic visualization of complex projects of branded products and methods of finding individual style of display design of branded products.
As a result of training, students acquire the following knowledge and professional skills:
Upon successful completion of their studies, graduates receive a diploma of basic or complete higher education of the established state standard in the specialty 022 Design:
• Bachelor of Design - 4 years of study (full-time or part-time).
• Master of Design - 1.5 years of study (full-time).
Students of the Department of Fashion Art and Design, as a result of obtaining the degree of "Bachelor of Design" have the opportunity to continue their master's degree in the educational program "Design (by type)", professional areas: "brand design" and "artistic modeling of costumes”, and obtain the qualification of "Master of Design".
Specialists are able to carry out professional activities in scientific institutions of cultural and art studies, in higher educational institutions in the field of art and design education, design institutions of various design areas, information tools of creative and art profile, leading fashion houses and design studios, advertising offices and exhibitions. in the media.
The place of professional activity of graduates is:
Students of the Department of Fashion Art and Design have the opportunity, studying in the 3rd and 4th years, to receive military education and receive a diploma of the state standard.
Students of all forms of education can be admitted to military training (on the basis of the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design, which conducts military training of students under the reserve officers training program together with the National Defense University of Ukraine with subsequent assignment of officer ranks). Both boys and girls can undergo military training if they wish.
To prepare for admission to the professional field "Artistic costume modeling" at the Department of Fashion Art and Design organized preparatory courses, where entrants have the opportunity to prepare for a creative competition (drawing, painting, special composition). The results of the final exam, after studying in preparatory courses, can be considered as entrance (from the creative competition).
All students of the Faculty of Design who live in cities and towns outside of Kyiv and Kyiv region are provided with accommodation in a dormitory located near the university buildings.
