Mission of the Department of Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Business is to train highly professional specialists who, based on the synergy of modern theoretical and practical knowledge through a creative approach, are able to ensure the quality, efficiency of business entities and personal success.
Tourism and hotel and restaurant business are of the most promising specialities at the present stage of economic development. Specialists in tourism and hotel and restaurant business are engaged in organizational and managerial, economic, commercial, investment and research activities in the field of the restaurant business, hotel business, exhibition and tourism activities.
The tourism and hotel and restaurant business is an industry with a high level of competition, which aims to provide the highest level of comfort and meet the cultural needs of guests. Every year the requirements for the level of these services increase. The higher the culture and quality of customer service, the higher the image of the hotel and restaurant, the more attractive they are to customers. This sphere in the complex of tourist services of the world economy is developing rapidly and in the future, according to the forecasts of well-known relevant organizations, may become the most important sector of tourism. In the labour market, the demand for specialists in the hotel and restaurant industry is constantly growing, both in the world and in Ukraine in general, which requires the training of high-level specialists.
Specialists in the hotel and restaurant business are able to lead the work in the hotel and tourist complexes of different types (motels, campsites, boats, flyers), sanatoriums, boarding houses, rest homes, clinics, sanatoriums, restaurants of different types of restaurants, cafes, etc.), work in their departments.

She graduated from Donetsk State University. In 2003 she presented a dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences on the topic "Social Protection of the Population under the Conditions of the Transformation of the Ukrainian Economy". In 2005, she was conferred with the title of Professor. From October 1995 to 01.06.2016 she worked as the rector of Donetsk Institute of Market and Social Policy. In 1999 she was conferred a title of academician of the Academy of Economic Sciences of Ukraine. Awards: "Honorary Worker of Tourism of Ukraine", "The Excellence in Education of Ukraine", the Diploma of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Honorary Sign "For a Significant Contribution to the Development of the Region", the Federation of Employers of Ukraine, the Golden Symbol of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Ukraine "For a significant contribution to the development of the national Education ", other honors. Teaching subjects: "Hotel and restaurant business infrastructure". Research interests: systematic analysis of theoretical and practical problems of tourism development and hospitality industry, problems of volunteer tourism development in modern conditions, development and implementation of innovative forms, methods and technologies of training specialists; The author and co-author of more than 130 works, including indexed in international databases Scopus and Web of Science.

In 1999 she graduated from Poltava Cooperative Institute with a degree in Organizational Management. In 2008 she defended her dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences on "Restructuring as a tool for crisis management of the enterprise" in the specialized scientific council of KNUTD. In 2011 she received a certificate of associate professor of service management KNUTD. In 2017, she defended her doctoral dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Economics on "Methodological foundations of higher education as a subject of the services market." In 2021 she received a certificate of Professor of Entrepreneurship and Business KNUTD. Teaches disciplines: Service Management, Business Organization in the field of services. Direction of scientific activity: management in the field of services, economics of education, business university. Author and co-author of more than 130 scientific works of scientific and scientific-methodical nature, including indexed in databases Scopus and Web of Science.

In 1996, she graduated with honours from National Pedagogical Dragomanov University (Kyiv); specialist diploma “Teacher of geography and biology”. In 2002 she presented a dissertation for the degree of PhD of Biology Sciences. In 2009 she was conferred the academic title of Associate Professor of the Department of Tourism and Physical Education of Kyiv National Linguistic University. In 2015 she presented a dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences, specialty - Economics and Management of Enterprises (according of the types of economic activities), on the topic: “Theoretical and methodological foundations of intellectual capital management of tourism infrastructure enterprises”. Teaching subjects: “Geography of Tourism”. Research interests: ensuring the effective functioning of the tourism industry and hotel and restaurant business, mobilization of resource potential of business entities of tourist infrastructure, development of tools for managing intangible assets of service-oriented enterprises. The author and co-author of more than 70 scientific works, including 6 monographs and 7 international publications which are included in international rating databases.

In 2001 he graduated from Lviv Commercial Academy with a degree in Finance. In 2010 he presented his dissertation at Lviv Commercial Academy on "Forming a system of services in the hotel industry of Ukraine." From 1994 to 2012, he worked as the Director of the Zhytomyr Hotel Utility Company. In 2015, he was elected as a Chairman of the Board of the Association of Hotel Associations and Hotels of Ukrainian Cities. Since 2020 – a member of the Coordinating Council for Tourism and Image Policy of the executive body of the Kyiv City Council (Kyiv City State Administration), a member of the anti-crisis council of public organizations of the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. Awards: the Honored Worker of Services of Ukraine. Teaching subjects: "Organization of restaurant business", "Organization of hotel business", "Infrastructure of hotel and restaurant business". Research interest: hotel management. The author of more than 10 scientific works, 2 educational and methodical developments.

In 2004, she graduated graduated with honours from Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design in the speciality “Polymer processing technology” and in 2004 - Institute of postgraduate education of KNUTD in the speciality “Economics of Enterprise”. In 2003 she presented a dissertation for the degree of PhD of Economic Sciences on the topic “Improving the organizational and economic mechanism for managing the financial security of enterprises”. Teaching subjects: “Financial stability: global, national and European Integrated financial security”, “Tax system”, “Tax management”, “Financial and economic security”, “Financial diagnostics and analysis”. The author of more than 70 scientific works, including monographs published in the languages of the European Union. The Manager of the Jean Monnet Module Project under the EU Erasmus + Grant Program "The Role of Financial Consumer Protection in the Financial Stability in the Digital Era: European Approaches" № 620509-EPP-1-2020-1-EN-EPPJMO-MODULE. Direction of scientific activity: financial security of enterprises of the hospitality industry.

In 2013 she graduated with honors from Kyiv National University of Technology and Design with a degree in "Organization of consumer services". In 2019 she defended her dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences on the topic "Management of business processes of the enterprise: outsourcing aspect." Teaches the discipline Business Organization in the field of services. Direction of scientific activity: outsourcing, business processes, management in the field of services. Author and co-author: more than 40 works of scientific and scientific-methodical nature.

In 1999 she graduated from the Kharkiv State Academy of Technology and Food Organization with a degree in Catering Technology and qualified as a Technological Engineer. In 2005 she defended her PhD thesis on "Technology of flour molded products for functional purposes with iodine-containing additives" and received a diploma of candidate of technical sciences in "Food Technology". In 2011 she received the academic title of associate professor of "Food Technology". Teaches disciplines: "Organization of restaurant business", "Production practice", "Technology of restaurant business". Research interests: development of technologies of new food products of health-improving purpose. Author and co-author: more than 250 publications of scientific and educational nature, including: 4 monographs, 2 textbooks (1 stamped by the Ministry of Education and Science), abstracts and conference proceedings, 30 copyright certificates, patents and inventions, as well as articles in scientific professional and international publications reviewed by scientometric databases, including Scopus (4 articles) and Web of Science (2 articles).

In 2019 he presented his dissertation on the topic “The mechanism of energy saving management in the system of higher education”, the specialty 08.00.03 – Economics and Management of the National Economy. He works as the Director of KNUTD Institute for Internationalization of Higher Education and Science of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design. Teaching subjects: “Geography of Tourism”. Research interest: internationalization of higher education. The author of more than 20 scientific papers.
