Prof., Dr. Tech. Sci.

Goals and objectives of the project

The project, 3D4U, aims to solve the problem of the lack of qualified specialists in the field of 3D-concepts for fashion education in Ukraine by creating 3D-concept centres in Ukrainian institutions of higher education (HEIs).

The project envisages the development of highly knowledgeable and qualified specialists in 3D Concepts in Ukraine and the internationalization and modernization of Ukrainian higher education institutions by combining them with global efforts in modern fashion education.

The 3D4U partnership comprises eight partners with complementary expertise and extensive experience managing and implementing EU-funded projects and initiatives. The consortium relies on a virtuous mix of experiences, mainly from higher education institutions, associations, and other organizations in the field of education that are related to the target audience.

Expected results: 2D and 3D hubs installed and equipped with the appropriate hardware and software for 3D modelling and prototyping in Ukrainian educational institutions. 15 teachers of higher education institutions in Ukraine will be trained in 3D Concepts by authoritative researchers and experts from the EU higher education institutions. At least 5 courses on 3D-Concepts will be developed and/or modernized in the Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine. 4 sectoral pilot projects of 3D-Concepts will be developed, one in each participating HEI. 100 students will study on developed and modernized semester courses. Under this program, 50 working fashion professionals from other fashion-related higher education institutions in Ukraine will undergo formal training in 3D Concepts.

Reporting meetings:

From December 7 to 9, 2023, in the cities of Kilkis and Thessaloniki, Greece, the first meeting of the consortium participants took place as part of the ERASMUS+ 3D4U project. Representatives of all project participants thoroughly introduced others to their educational institutions and the main areas of work within the project packages.

From September 3 to 7, 2024, in the city of Dresden, Germany, at the Dresden University of Technology. A report on the progress of work package 3 on capacity building and the creation of 3D4U hubs, the purchase of equipment for them and the creation of a cooperation platform - a cloud structure within the framework of the entire consortium - has been provided.

Olga Yezohova,

Prof., Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences,

The project's objective is to foster experience and education in digital fashion among students at fashion universities, thereby enhancing the curricula with a forward-looking and sustainability-focused approach.

FashionTEX — FashionTEX is a 3-year project aiming to create expertise and educate students in digital fashion at fashion universities. It will enhance the curricula to future-oriented and more sustainable content. The fashion industry relies on digital fashion in all areas of the value cycle, from design to sales and the technologies used develop rapidly. Our needs analysis shows that education at fashion schools in Europe is often behind what the industry already implemented. Also, schools are at very different stages with their education: some are teaching at advanced level, others are still at the beginning of training digital fashion. FashionTEX closes these gaps. The implementation of digital fashion will be realized with different project modules: ATELIER courses at each partnering fashion school, joint MAKERSPACES and public FASHION SHOWS. By meetings, conferences and workshops, online and onsite, the partners cooperate closely and develop education modules that raise the quality of apprenticeship at the participating universities and beyond to a new level of knowledge and sharing of expertise. The results will be implemented and passed on to lecturers and students in the future, based on a high-quality common curriculum allowing European student exchange programs.

Igor Panasiuk, Prof., Dr. Tech. Sci.

Dashko O. H., Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Assoc. Prof.

The goals of the DAAD program are:

1. Creation of virtual courses for students at partner Ukrainian higher education institutions.

2. Ensuring full operational capabilities for faculty at partner  Ukrainian higher education institutions.

3. Expertise for further digitalization of German and Ukrainian higher education institutions participating, and professionalization of digital teaching for the development of further (joint) virtual courses.

The objective of the Bridge Ukraine digital project is to provide comprehensive support to Ukrainian faculty to continue teaching at their universities in Ukraine and to establish long-term cooperation with related units and disciplines at TU Berlin and KNUTD. Support is provided at the subject level, but also with an emphasis on didactics in the context of digital learning.

During the spring semester of the 2023-2024 academic year, the course "Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics" is being taught. The course has a total of 90 hours, including 36 hours of instruction and 54 hours of independent student work. Fifteen first-year students from the Educational and Scientific Institute of Engineering and Information Technologies are participating in the program.

In the fall semester of the 2024-2025 academic year, the course "Advanced Mathematics" is planned to be taught.

All participants involved in the project receive scholarships from DAAD. These scholarships are intended for training specialists and managers for the country's reconstruction. Additionally, these students receive professional and linguistic support during their studies, as well as expert psychological support to help them succeed academically.

The implementation of the project has demonstrated a high interest from the participants in the courses, particularly in modern online formats. This has provided additional opportunities for improving the linguistic and professional competencies of the participants.

For the implementation of the project, online platforms from KNUTD and TU Berlin are utilized.
